The heart of Tempe Town Lake is historic Tempe Beach Park. Originally built in 1931, this park was completely renovated in 1999 as part of the construction of Town Lake. The park connects to 5 miles of multi-use paths for bicycling, jogging or in-line skating that circle Town Lake. Room for the ruckus of a rock music festival with quiet space still remaining for a romantic walk, Tempe Beach Park allows visitors to experience Town Lake in the manner they wish.
This 25-acre park is Tempe’s premier special event space. Nearly every weekend visitors can participate in a 10K run, watch a concert or take part in a community festival.
