Retired NFL great George Martin is crossing the country on foot from New York to San Diego to raise awareness and funds for the first responders at Ground Zero after the September 11 attacks. He crossed the George Washington Bridge on Sept. 16, 2007 and is scheduled to arrive in San Diego in late June. While crossing though the Phoenix-area, Martin and friends will be hosting a fund-raising walk at Tempe Beach Park. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to mingle with some of sports greatest - doing their finest.
