Central Arts Players (CAP) opened in 1964 with a production of "Brigadoon." The group was formed as a venue for musical theater, showcasing the talents of the world renowned Central United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir. The success of CAP’s productions led to its expansion, which included members of the community outside the church.
