My husband and I are season ticket holders to the Broadway shows at Gammage and this show has better leads, better music, and better acting than most that we have seen. This was very entertaining! I went with my family opening night not knowing what to expect. We saw the billboard a few days earlier near Tempe Town Market and noticed it was about pirates and thought it would be fun. I was really impressed. The music was catchy and inspiring. I found myself humming the song today "to be remembered" sung by Blackbeard. It has a little something for everyone--pirates, prisoners, guns, swords, comedy (there's a really funny comic-relief pirate who bought and hired his way into piracy) and there's a surprisingly well developed love story. There were a few sound kinks with cannons and guns that I'm sure are common with an opening night, but all in all I would definitely recommend it.
